Terry and I decided to give the Stanley another crack this morning after our success on tuesday;) ;) It was only going to be a short session with Terry needing to leave for work by 10am. We arrived at 5am and unloaded the yaks and launched, but this time we headed downstream towards the dam from our launch site. we were both fishing purple spinnerbaits again and it didnt take long to get some interest from some fish. Terry got a nice hit but didnt hook then I got 2 hits on succesive casts to a snag but didnt hook   . we could only get about 500M or so downstream before we hit an inpassable object   so we turned and headed back upstream. I got the first fish trolling the purple Ausspin past our launch location, thought it was a very good fish straight away with it peeling line off my little pixy loaded with 4lb fins, I had to thumb the spool to stop him bricking me;) ;) I got him out and got sight of a nice bass, not as big as I thought he was going to be but still a nice fish. he was so thick across the shoulder.

went around 40cm

We headed further upstream and I nailed another bass only around 30cm this time and no where enar as fat as the first
