queensland Brekky Creek Bream!!

Fished brekky creek early this morning, fishing was tough but stil got some alright fish. I hadnt fished the area before but was suprised at the amount of good araound started off with hb's and sc changed scored a rat or two. CHanged to plastics and got some better quality fish with all of the ones caught on plastics going 29fl and above length. good one man there's heaps of 30+ bream around there at the moment. use 8cm hard bodies and you'll avoid the rats:cheer:

31cm FL? thats more 29 and the tails been squashed down. Still, for this area on the river thats a gnarly bream.

tim when the fisheries guys measure a fish they push the tail down like that to get full length it's the recomended method

you are watching too much tournament stuff on tv instead of checking the actual regulations

In bream tournaments they measure fork probably to make it a bit harder so basically smallest fish that count are like 27-28cm

Solid bream for the river mate. Never done well in that creek, done ok just outside it tho. Never knew you could fish on that platform though, can you cast at all the pilons from there?

Yeah we sort of snuck on to it, but yeah all the pilons are accessible form there.
