Shimano curado cu-201

Hi guys, I've just bought a left handed shimano curado, model cu201. It seems like a great reel and i'm really happy with it, I was just wondering if it was ok for me to use it in the salt? I'm probably not going to bring it out to sea, at the most i'll be using it in the river which is a little salty. Also what sort of maintenance do I need to do? I'll rinse the reel after every use. Any sort of information would be greatly appreciated i.e. how often to service and such. thanks

As far as i know Curado's can be used in salt.

i've got the curado 200DPV and i've had it for a few years now and i can say its great. i just give it a quick rinse with water after each use and its never had any problems. Also i've never had any rust on the reel after constant use in the salt and because its still running so smoothly i've never even re-oiled it. so yeah it's great value for money.
