Biteing the bullet!

Well after scoreing a bit of a bonus in my tax I thought it was time to upgrade my poor 15 year old daiwa reel. I found a TD Advantage 2500A on Ebay 9 days ago for cheap, so I started watching it. Well long story short 9 days later it's mine:woohoo: I looked on Motackle and seen that they were asking $289, I scored mine for $188.30. I hoping to have it up and fireing by the Bass comp, It would be great to fluke the winning Bass and match my new reel to a Lee custom built rod;)

Anyways this is the most I've ever spent on 1 piece of fishing gear, so I'm blowing out a bit and hopeing my choice of reel is a good 1 for the money that I spent?

Did I do ok? or was I ripped?

Seems a good price to me but u wont be matching it up to Lee's Rod, Its a Bait Caster Lol.

good reels daiwa are. i dont have an advantage but do have other daiwas. and have played with dan's advantage spin reel and its very nice

Thanks Fisherman, But mailing from the States I'd want insurance etc. So it would end up around the same price, then there's warrenty, Would they still honour the warrenty here in Australia?

Be worth looking at in the future for a Snapper reel;)

Which equals $165.83 with the dollar currently buying 87us cents. Ebays exchange rate is usually a bit worse so price isnt too bad. You have to look at the total package, postage, warranty etc.

The bottom line for me is that you got a good reel :cheer:, no point in anguishing about the price you paid after the money is out of your pocket - enjoy the reel and make it work until it pays itself off.

yeah i reckon u did pretty good. i bought a 4000 advantage on ebay yesterday and mine came to $180.52 or something like that. when the aussie dollar was good i picked one up for myself and a mate and about $160AU

Thanks for that, Like I said I'll look at that option again when I look for a Snapper reel.

1 more question though, Is the warrenty still good buying from overseas?
