Maroon Dam Friday 19 september

Heading out to Maroon dam on Friday Arvo for a fish. Will be camping out Friday night and fishing Saturday mornig. HOme mid morning Saturday.

Will be fishing for the Kayak

Good luck Shortie, I've just been there for the last 3 days working with Steve W on a Sports Tuition camp. The Bass (lots of small ones) are biting on shrimp amongst the timber, but didn't get a chance to fish myself at all, so can't give you any tips on lures atm.

Wind has been picking up in the middle of the day and making life uncomfortable, but dusk has been glassed out and looked promising for poppers.

is there still a heap of weed on the surface at the timber end rod?

Weed everywhere on surface in that area. Not sure about sub-surface.

Yep taking up fly gear this time. I want a bass on fly.

Forgot to take the fly gear. However it was a very quiet trip. The fish caught certainly were not of the size i got there last week.

What i did find out was that bass likes the TT switchblades. An other new species for me on this lure.

Found a good camp ground at Maroon as well, $8 per person per night . Showers and toilets.

A great place for a AFO get together and not $170 per person.
