Hi all, I'm new to this, so excuse me if I am breaking some protocols here. I am trying to find out who owns the fishing huts on slipping sands at straddie. My mate and I fish there a lot and have often wondered how we would go about staying there one night, who do we pay etc. and just generally what is the deal ? If someone could steer me in the right direction, i would be very greatful.

Cheers

Hey Graham,

Welcome to the site mate. No rules broken that is a good question.

Here is a thread about them

I don't know who owns them or how to get in contact but I hope the thread helps or someone here knows.

Thanks guys. I will try to follow it up, but I'm not hopeful. Seems to be a mystery to everyone as the last communications about the place seem to date back to 2013.

My mate and I were drifting past there one day and somebody was using the huts. We called out to ask who do we contact to make inquiries, and they called back, the "Summer Fishing Club"

But that lead went nowhere. It's a shame this information is not more widely known as there must be lots of retired fisho's, Like me and my mate, who could go there for an over night stay during the week.

It's hard to make bookings when you have no contacts to make one.

Private huts. The old fellas who runs the "Green" one do let local clubs and schools use it occasionally.
