queensland NPD early active bass

Early bird fishing does the trick again out at NPD. Started at 5.30am and had my first bass by 5.45am, would of been quicker but the spiders web I picked up on my rod caused a bunch of grapes on the first cast. Must remember to knock down webs with stick not rod. Anyway picked up several bass over the next hour in the late 30,s and early 40,s at this stage my mate was not yet on the board, then as quick as they were on they were gone. Walked the banks casting for another hour for nil results until the mate finaly got one, a nice 52cm model bass he could not stop shaking he was so excited. Lets hope the bigger models are going to be about a little bit earlier rather than later. All my bass were on purple s/baits and Bruce got his on a boney bream s/bait.

Good stuff Dino, and congrats to Bruce...thats a good fish. Seems as though the only thing they'll touch lately is a spinnerbait !!!

Did the wasps get you ?

Bruce wont be allowed to go anymore, I have taught him to much:P no wasps LGM and we were up in the macgavin area

I might be taking the fly along on one of my trips as the gar are that big you could put a saddle on them.
