Burpengary Creek 1/1/07

Well took the whole family down to Burpengary Creek to take the Silver Bullet out for its first run with the family. After a whole day on the dam I figured she was safer enough.

Ran it with Rays 4hp yammy, got along quiet well, dragged a couple of lures, but did not get anything. But the local lads had been out crabbing, and they went through in fron of us at aboutr 20knots, more than enough to scare any self repsecting fish for quite a while!

But it was really a suck it and see for the missus and kids to see how it would go.

Went well, everyone impressed, the boat handled well in the narrow chanel, no problems. Quite happy with the speed, I reckon at least 6 knots. Will have to give it a go with the GPS and see just how fast she goes! The kids ran all over the shop, Lorraine even had a steer of the boat!

Just spent the last hour looking over the posts since you first got it.

Should be proud of yourself its a great effort.

Really good photos of the kids too.

You should concider publishing the whole saga.

Reckon you should never sell it just donate it to the museum and they can place it next to the ww1 german tank mephisto that your great grandfather helped capture.

Maybe I am biased and had a few too many home brews but I am really touched.

Dad
