Thats a good fish. Based on smaller ones i have caught from the same location that must have fought really well! Its amazing that small body of water holds as many fish as it does.

It's just near my place Jeff;) at the bike and skate park and BMX track - It's also a great BBQ spot for the family with plenty of swings and room for the little ones.

It's at the BMX track at Beenleigh, just off the highway. It's no seceret - locals have been pulling these sort of fish out for years.

They used to pull out bream, flatties, small sharks, whiting, ETC. It used to be tidal except after floods when the fresh took over then you could get bass.

Then in there wisdom the council dumped tonnes of dirt in the chanel and now it doesn't get tidal wash out. Real smart.

Now you get tiliapa, carp, eels and turtles. They turned a breeding ground into a pond the smells.

And they say Rec fisherman are bad for fish stocks.

so its of of boundary beenleigh connection rd should have tilapia busters no doubt I would lose though
