Saturdayt on the weekend the tuna and mackeral were going off. Julez and i went out and got busted off 6 times on over 60 pound leader. 1 time we got absolutely spooled by a beast i had no chance.

Julz got this one on 8 pound braid before all teh line got spooled 10 minutes later.

I caught one almost exactly the same size on my whiting and bream rod. i only had 2 pound crystal loaded on it. i cant believe i got it in. i didnt think i was a gona. it was crazy but a major relief once i got it in

i wish i had the proper gear to catch more but it was fun to get hammered anyway. Pretty much every boat out there was pulling in either good sized long tail tunas or spotted mackerals.

Bloody shame the ocean rose so much overnight but hey thats fishing!
