Tailor At Nudgee Yet???

hey everyone,

has anybody been getting tailor from nudgee beach atm? i am trying to think if i should go for a session down there this arvo throwing slugs for them?

I picked up 2 small choppers there 2 weeks ago using fresh pike fillets so they are around.

dad caught one on a live herring at 7am on monday, was only 20cm though

and about 4 baby squire too.

i ended up at cabbage tree crk, got three, all about the 25-30 cm mark.

got them on 5inch nuke chicken plastics.

heaps of small ones around at high tide.

i ended up at cabbage tree creek too throwing slugs with fellow member michaelj, a few hits but nothing special not one fish landed the whole afternoon, headed to the pier at shorncliffe for a bit and ended up on a donut.

yeah i tried slugs first, but they wouldnt hold on long enoughto get a good strike at them.

guys are you just going out to the very end of the beach as deep as possible and launching the slugs out?? or are you casting into the big river/creek at the mouth??

I went from the rocks out as far as i could following the channel till about the 3rdd beacon casting and casting for nothin but a few small hits.

why not try redcliff bridge ... a mate was there a couple of days ago ... got some bream and tailor ...

unfortunately redcliff is just that little bit too far away from me to drive. It already takes 20-30min to get to nudgee for me.

I had walked the whole beach but picked mine up just infront of the dog park at low tide wading out as far as I could. A guy close by had picked up a few about the same size, 25-30cm in the same area.
