On which Dam is it allowed 2 go with a petorl outb

Hello community,

Weekend is coming and I want to go out to chase some Bass. At the moment it's just allowed to catch them in Dam's isn't it?

Now I'm looking for a Dam where I can go with my small boat. It's an inflatable one with an 4hp outboard.

If you know some good spots let me know.

you could go to boondoomba dam near proston qld. you are allowed to use petrol motors there and there are massive bass in there. we went there last week for 3 days and dident catch any but they say they are biting now.

maroon dam is worth a look.

theres also moogera and maroon dams near boonah west of ipswich and somerset dam near esk

yes i agree that maroon would be your best bet of nailing a few bass, plus the dam is not huge so you can cover all of it in a day, somerset is worth a shot but its full and alot of water to cover to find fish! moogerah does still have bass in it but have not heard a good report since the big fish kill last year! borumba worth a shot with a great bi catch of saratoga! its about an 2 hours from brisbane approx.

If you fish Somerset, you really need a sounder to find the schools. Maroon would be easiest for bass. The water is pretty clear so you can see where the weed ends. Borumba bycatch of saratoga and cod and is the prettiest dam of the lot.

Cressbrook Dam might be worth a shot too. I couldn't catch a big one when I was there 3 weeks ago but got 20 odd fish. 8 knot speed limit.

I think Maroon will be my favorite, was winning already during the week. Queenslander!

Hope the Rain stops but not the Bass. Is the first time for me to target them.
