queensland Maroochy River Questions/Tips

Hello chaps. I'm in the Maroochy River on Monday 10-1pm. I'll be launching at Chambers Island. Where do I fish? I have a heavy rod and a light rod. Prefer to use bait.

mate try trolling some lures the flatty love them and its also pretty lay back when trolling.brad

I use to live at Mooloolaba , fished around maroochy river a fair bit , yup id go fresh mullet fillets or prawns (Bills bait bar) or from coles etc , ive also had success using live herring , cant wait to get back up that way again , best part of the world!!

Thanks chaps! Hiring a boat and taking the missus and the boy out for their first small boat experience. Will try some trolling in secret!!!

Hi Kev under the motorway bridge is a spot refered to as the cod hole, only worth fishing an hour each of the tide turn as the current is too strong at other times if the tide is not on your side try around the pontoons infront of the hi rises or up stream from the cod hole around the mangroves, worth throwing a pot around this area for a muddie or two as well
