GT in The Philippines

[Master Sardines]

Since my last visit in the Philippines, i was teaching my wife's younger brother about fishing, sent him some tackle and away you go. His takin it in his stride and fishes most week-ends. Usually catches a ferry to another island then hire's a "bunka" (a boat) and goes out from there. I'm impressed with this catch and he's only been fishing for 6 months.

He looks happy. I guess it will be a feast

Future pro charter operator there mate, great work ion sending him the stuff to get started. Not many people can claim fish like that after 6 months. I think I was still trying to figure out how to tie knotts (still am).

He caught it on a hand line with 100lb line. (which would be the mono line they tie there boats together with.) Guess its a big step up from the coke bottles and small hand lines we were used while i was there. Thanks for your replies guys
