Fished the Broardwater from 1am. Plan was to chase Canal Rats until the sun came up then head to Mermaid for a Mack.

Landed a few Tailor early on, it didnt matter what I threw they were just hungry.

On sunrise after a rainy squall it was time to chase a red before I headed through the Seaway.

Throwing a Lucky Craft Pointer XD I was rewarded with a nice Jack. Great fight all the way to the boat with several runs from the net.

A few happy snaps and the customary splash in the face on release.

Headed to the Seaway to be greeted with the bar breaking from rock wall to rock wall and a steady stream of Trawlers returning from sea. Also some radio chatter about an 18 footer going over.

Headed for home, washed the boat, had a quick 2 hr sleep and off to work.

Great day with a new PB

nice red! what are the specs on the rod matched up to the certate?

G Loomis BSR 852 GLX

IMO one of the best, most versatile all round rods on the market and my favourite rod in my collection.

I use the rod every where. Casting 1/8th plastics for Snapper, Lures for Jacks, heavy plastics for deeper water and metals for Tuna.
