hey fellas can any one help me plz

i want someone to tell me how to hook fish properly i seem to get it evry now and then i just got a bit of a longer rod to see the *differance* i have had a bit of luck with it on nudgee river with whiting so can any one help me?

Mate you mean setting the hook in the fish's mouth i presume?

This varies from fish to fish. And even day to day.

Fo example, sometimes bream will happily grab a bait and run well and truly hooking themselves. However bream can be very finnicky at the same time resulting in loads of bites and much frustration.

With you whiting at nudgee, use long shank hooks. These are ideal for whiting. Also attempt to present the bait well. The easier the point of the hook is for the fish get jagged on the better!

Overall mate, dont worry to much. Hooking fish is simply experience, i doubt there is a sure fire way someone could put it in words for you.

I have been fishing my whole life and still miss plenty of hits!

Dude if you want to increase the amount of hook ups with out going into fine detail I recommend sharp hooks and use the lightest sinker you can get away with for the situation...
