Southern Bay Snapper???

Angus

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.

This might sound like an easy question, but im looking at locations and techniques for southern bay snapper and squire.

Firstly winter is an ok time for them is this correct?

Im planning a few trips out on my Yak. So i want to find some locations that are in reasonable paddling distance. WayneD was saying Peel is about 2 hours paddle from Cleveland adn this is fine.

Anyone want to join me in the paddling quest?

Coochie and Macleay are very reasonable paddles from Victoria point. I often see yaks out on the north side of Coochie snapper fishing but I reakon there are more on the south side.

Autumn to Spring are supposed to be best snapper time but inside the bay but I have done best Feb/April at Coochiemudlo

Squire are starting to turn it on at Green but you would have to be a mad man to paddle too there.
