Scent on Hard Bodies

Hi folks.

Only really been fishing hard bodies for a month or so and my question is, Do people put any kind of sent on your hard bodies? tuna oil? something else? and do you just put a few drops on before you cast or do you soak them in some way?

my old man has this aerosol can he uses...it called \"slime\"...not sure what the brand is but im sure ya can get it from amart...and there is this other one called \"crayfish\"..it seems to work too...i wish i could afford it thou..its not cheap stuff..

i actually slide the lure down the crack of my _____ on a hot day it doesnt feel real flash especially when it hooks on :sick:

nice wordplay but seriously i heard that ultrabite aerosols have a leaking problem and make stuff go hard

i seen the tournament fishers dip it in after every coupla casts or spray every few

yer with the spray stuff..it pays to give the lure a spray every cast....il find ou the brand my old man uses..its good stuff;)

Ultrabite is a good one but there is a few other goodies out there to choose from.Also stay away if ya can from aerosol cans as they do have a leaking problem found out first hand with one going off in me fishing bag and gezz did it stink for weeks which wasnt to bad of a thing but it made a hell of a stain....The oil based or liquid type scents have a habit of washing of the lure pretty quick so you go through a fair bit of it when you fish alot but I have use one that is more like a jelly and stayed on the lure a bit longer.I have heard that if you mix some of the Ultrabite with vasoline it works well and stick to the lure alot longer and washes of very slowly leaving a nice trail of stink behind the lure...

I let ALex talk me into a pump bottle of one of those attractants before Awoonga last year. Did nothing for the fish, but leaked all through the tackle box, still done use that box as it still stinks 6 months later!
