Stradic 5000 2010

I just purchased a Stradic 5000 2010 model,

To my surprise it came with felt style drag washers.

I wan't to know if anyone has upgraded their Stradic's drag and if you think it's worth doing?

?? i thought most reels came with felt in between the metal ones?? Never really taken too much notice to tell you the truth.

i asked a few tackle stores and got the same story, the felt is fine until you work it really hard like on a lot of longtails or macs and then when you replace it, go with something a bit flashier.

I like the thought of wearing out the felt ones on long tails!

yeah I keep hearing the brand Carbontex for drags....dunno if they're actually carbon drags though.. just hear good things about them from the pimp my reel fraternity.
