Bribie help

Hey all,

We have started our own annual fishing comp at work (first year) and was after a few tips from all of you more experienced fishermen out there.

Comp is at bribie in a couple of weeks and we are heading out at low tide and returning 7 hours later. The winners are decided by the toal length of fish caught devided by the number of team members in the boat, all bag limits and size limits are in place.

Just wondering if anyone could give me a few ideas of what to chase and where to chase them (gps or landmarks would be awesome).

Due to the comp nature you should be targeting the longer species.

Flathead and sharks come to mind, although if there's a school of tailor showing up on the surface they'd be good too.

I'm pretty sure from reports on here that the canals will provide the sharks and flathead.

you would possibly be the most hated guy there but what if you cast netted a tone of baitfish without a size limit or bag limit and lined them all up?

if thats not your thing i have had the most luck fishing next to bait fishos and i use 3" plasitcs, they burley them up nicely

Sharks are not allowed in the rules however flatties will definatly be what I chase first! Any ideas on best areas to target them in a tinnie? Also - never caught a tailor any advice on bait and rigs and locations for them. Tell me to shut up if im asking for too much

Hi, for tailor just a pilly on a set 0f 4/0 gang hooks no weight and chuck it out and hope for the best
