I didnt mean to do a double post but as the Toowoomba sutuation spreads, I am reposting this on its own thread:

A quick update on the Toowoomba situation, the bulk of the flooding that affected the city is splitting between Stanthorpe and down the range. Those living in low lying areas between Toowoomba and Brissie (gatton etc) are being advised to get to high ground ASAP until the surge passes (heading towards Brissie River I suspect)...from the channel ten news latest update...Helidon apparantly has gone under, so it is on its way.

Glenore Grove seems to be now peaking and further down the lockyer creek at lyons bridge there seems to be a twitch upwards, so I guess its started to reach there http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDQ65389/IDQ65389.540174.plt.shtml

Also noticed that areas around Rosewood are affected by flooding and other tribs of the Bremer River inducing a rise in levels, in adition to increased releases from Wivanhoe and the arrival of the Lockyer floodwaters will make for an interesting day for lower ipswich and brisbane reaches tomorrow.

Savages Crossing now showing increase in height http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDQ65389/IDQ65389.540066.plt.shtml , I guess later this arvo or tonight for the affects of this inflow in the lower Brisbane area.

Levels in the lockyer are again rising at Glenore grove as well according to the automatic stations, so the current rain is happening an impact as well.

Noticable spike in Brisbane river at Mt Crosby http://www.bom.gov.au/fwo/IDQ65389/IDQ65389.540199.plt.shtml

Fernvale is experiencing flooding from the lockey creek inflow and todays rain, the whole lockyer district is still experiencing flooding, the brisbane valley hway is closed to fernvale.

Also additional flows will keep affecting the Bremer river from its tribs, lower parts of Kalbar affected and this will work its way down as well, Rosewood district also affected by inundation.

Latest on tripple wammy: The bremer river is spiking bigtime, these are affecting upper levels of Brisbane river, 5 gates open at wivenhoe affecting levels and the flooding in the lockyer valley still continuing and still making its way through to Brisbane river. Low lying areas in Brisbane should take immediate steps to ensure a safe area to go to for a few days until this thing pan out before they are totally cut off by flooded roads. If you wait, your escape route could be cut off even if the water hasnt reached your place yet.

Channel 7 current interview with Brisbane Lord Mayor say over 1600 Brisbane council district properties my be affected by severe flooding, they will be giving all news outlets an updated list of streets and suburbs they expect to be severely affected, keep an eye out on news websites, www.couriermail.com.au and the like to view the list as it becomes available.

Sorry quick revision...6500 properties directly possibly affected by severe flooding involving 30 suburbs, and some 16000 properties affected by water in some way.

Okay, this will be my last post for a bit...obviously emergency services are stretched to the max to give you a real time idea of what is happening you can listen to emergency services via this link http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?stid=155

Current flood operations via qfrs covered by firecom southeast includes Ipswich and to its west and the Goldcoast, and when it gets to brisbane will be the Brisbane and Queensland qfrs stream.

Ussually I dont post emergency audio stream links, but considering the unfolding situation I think people should be kept informed upto the minute.
