Hi all Iam new to brissy and just got my tinnie back from a mate living in brighton an was looking for some tips on where to go to wet a line through a net and look for crabs.

No worries mate, put your boat in at any of the 50 or more boat ramps, point it up or down the river (this is important) then motor to the spot you find and throw a pot in, then keep motoring in sme direction or turn around (also important) throw your anchor in at next spot or drift, flick, wet a pillie whatever your style, then take tinnie back to ramp, smile all the way home. haha

best place to start is any creek or river around and have a look at some posts as well

Welcome to the site. Where are you based? I agree with the guys I would start in some of the estuaries. If you are not familiar with the areas take it easy. Also you swill need to become familiar with the marine parks. Will throw a link up when home. I would target flathead at first as they are prevalent and easy to catch. Get some soft plastics if that is your thing, troll some hardbodies, or nets some movies and gloat them out. U can always target break as well. Good luck and make sure you read back over old posts.
