i'll 2nd that.. repairing a castnet takes hours! i learnt where all the snags at my part of the river were the hard way!!! 4hr net patching sessions !!! =_=

Mack good question - I was looking for fresh water bait.

I was that far up river I was actually lookong for \"rockies or freshies shrimp\" - you know the one's with the big pinchers. But because of the drought it was all salt water and all I could get was bloody King/tiger prawns.

Murphy's Law - I should go snapper fishing tomorrow but I'm going to hinze.:pinch:

BTW They were not herring but actualy Logan River Perch - look a bit like Jew

Hi Brian,

I live on the logan only a few km's upstream from carbrook, so still salt water. I'd say that I get more of those freshwater prawns than normal ones. I only get them to throw them out as bait while im down there. Ive only managed catties though. Am I likely to get much more from the Logan or Albert on these prawns?
