Brissy river and other catches ....

G'day all.

As a newbie, I figured I'd put some pics up of recent and past catches my mates and I have landed from the brissy river and a few other spots. None of these are over a year old and the jews and threadies are in the last two months ....

This one we caught after the three of us paddled up aquarium in a "canadian" canoe designed for two people ... after we watched another angler pull up near where we had set up on a bank and pull in a couple of bull sharks, we decided we wouldn't be doing the canoe thing again ..... the things fisherman will do eh!?!?!

This tailor feed my brother and I got trolling from the back of his jetski waverunner out the front of South Straddie ... that was an awesome day topped off by a great feed of tailor.

This was my first (and only so far) threadie caught off the bank from the end of Creek rd near the Gateway.

the Producer with a Jack caught while we had a week on the Tweed River in a houseboat ... this was caught near the sugar mill

Good looking fish .....

I can't remember this chap's name but I'm sure he's on this site .... we fished with him at Bulimba a couple of weeks ago and he brought this one in.

This was the first "big" fish we pulled from the Brissy river at bulimba and we are hungry for more! Again .. the Producer! His first good Jewie.

Simmo "the Trawler" was happy with this his first threadie again at the same spot we got the previous Jewie .... this was the next week after the Jewie so it has kept us going back there.

The last two, threadie and Jew, we've caught over the last month. Hoping it's my turn next for a nice threadie or Jew.

Thanks for posting, some great fish there. And I wouldn't worry too much about sharks while you are in the canoe, I hear they don't like muppet :silly: :whistle:
