As I am still confirming prizes for the 2011 BRC I am going to add this list now and update it as we get more sponsors on board. With this in mind keep checking back as I will be hearing back from many more soon!

PRIZE CATEGORIES:

1) LONGEST BREAM (THE BREAM SHIELD)

This category will consist of any Pikey or Yellowfin Bream. The prize for this category will be presented to the angler who submits the longest Bream over the course of the competition.

1. Takeda Fireblade 1-3kg Combo & Cap, & Lure Pack (RRP $375)

2. Camo–Stik 1-3kg, Rain Forest Camo & Cap (RRP $125)

2) LONGEST KING THREADFIN

This category will consist of any King Threadfin species. The prize for this category will be presented to the angler who submits the longest King Threadfin over the course of the competition.

1. Takeda Fireblade 6-10kg Combo, Braid, Leader & Cap (RRP $375)

2. Camo–Stik 8-12kg, Rain Forest Camo (RRP $125)

3. Lure Pack & Cap (RRP $90)

3) LONGEST SHARK (THE GOLDEN HOOK)

This category will consist of any legal shark species. The prize for this category will be presented to the angler who submits the longest Shark over the course of the competition.

1. Rhino Stik 10-15kg Combo, Braid, Leader & Cap (RRP $375)

2. Rhino Stik 10-15kg Spin & Cap (RRP $125)

3. Lure Pac & Cap (RRP $90)

4) BEST MISCELLANEOUS FISH (THE GOLDEN TROPHY)

This category will consist of any fish species caught over the course of the competition (excluding stingrays, shovel-nose rays and eels). The prize for this category will be presented to the angler who submits a fish that scores the highest in the event's miscellaneous ranking table.

1. Rhino Stik 2-6kg Combo, Braid, Leader & Cap (RRP $375)

2. Rhino Stik 2-6kg Spin Rod & Cap (RRP $125)

5) LONGEST CATFISH (THE CATFISH CUP)

This category will consist of any Salmon-Tailed or Blue Catfish. The prize for this category will be presented to the angler who submits the longest Catfish caught over the course of the competition.

6) JUNIOR ANGLER

This category will consist of the best fish submitted by a junior competitor (12 or under) during the competition. The winner of the best Junior Miscellaneous Fish will be the child whose fish scores highest in the event's miscellaneous ranking table.

LUCKY DOOR PRIZES:

There will be a lucky door prize at this event. At the prize presentation, we will put all Competitor Numbers into a hat and draw it randomly. Good luck!

1. Weekends (2 night 2 days) accomadation at the "Noosa Fishing Shack" with Greg Carter for up to 3 anglers. Weekend includes accomadation and expert knowledge on where to find the Jacks! (RRP $350)

2. $250 Voucher to the Viking Kayak Outlet Store located at Chermside. (RRP $250)

3. 2 X Fishing Mania prize pack including $100 worth of Fishing Mania products. (RRP $200)

so is Austackle putting up any prizes? I'm thinking I need to win myself a new reel this year, I wore out my last 'prize' reel recently

Austackle has allocated $2,500 of prizes to this event but there is a problem which we are waiting for Angus to sort out and then we can list them.

Also just to inform you that $10 from every Jnr entry will be donated towards "Autism Australia" a very worthy and hard working cause. More will be published about this soon on the front page.
