crab pot protection ?

dunno how legal these would be , obviously would have to sink the float with a weight near the float end of line and hope it releases . also would need to be something you don't plan on getting back

i like it :cheer: :cheer: 4 hour sandie soak and the float comes shooting to the surface just have to find 4 good rocks every time

We used a similar setup for a few years on the crab and fish traps.

They are basically an anode that dissolves away.

I used the 24 hour ones which were great to set gear overnight.

With mine I cut a hole in the top of the traps and wired in a cheap black plastic flower pot.

The rope was bundled into the pot and the float sat on top which held the rope in.

The anode was attached to hold the float in and when it dissolved away the float released and came to the surface.
