Borumba dam

Hi guys and girls heading up to Borumba dam in a couple of weeks and will be trying kayak fishing for the first time. Sold my boat about a year ago and hadn't been doing much fishing but I have the itch again and purchased a Viking kayak. Nothing flash.

I am just wondering if anyone has any pointers and spots at Borumba dam to target for bass and hopefully a Saratoga

Stop in and say g'day to Graeme at Borumba Fishing and Outdoors on the way through. Opposite the Imbil hotel on the main st, he'll tell you exactly where the fish have been hanging around and what they've been getting caught on lately. You can also get your stocked impoundment permit off him if you've not already got one. Good luck mate! Let us know how you go, I'm heading up there first week of November for a few days myself.

Head further up in to the sticks regardless, the ski lice often turn the front of the dam in to a washing machine.

Nice little bay with standing timber on the left as you head upstream has yielded toga for me in the dim past, worth a shot.

I will defiantly see Graeme just thought I would see if anyone has been up there lately. Hopefully get some Redclaw while I'm there as well

Not long to go now until I will be yakking around the dam hope for some nice size bass and hopefully a toga!

I'm also after some lures and soft plastics people like to use with bass as I'm only just getting into the freshwater seen
