well the fishing was hot on friday night.

It sas my first ower reaches session at night with Troy and Jordon and it proved fruitful. There was plenty biting. And what was also amazing was the large number of prawns. Jordon and Troy managed to cast net several kilos between them.

All in the we caught 3 Large Bream, 1 Large Luderick, 1 Large Mullet, 2 Shovel Nose Sharks, 2 Rays, 1 pike eel, 1 moray eel and only one stinky cat fish! And of course some mightly Threadfin Salmon. I was dissapointed twice that night by being snapped off on teh pilons by what must have been some huge salmon or rays. But oh well. Next time!

Oh it must be said that the live prawns were surely the best bait that evening. And the best time was just on the pause between the tides. 3/4 of our fish were caught then. [img size=480]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/MixedBag.jpg

The tide was dead on high.

It was in between the low and high on the high that we got all the action.

As with the prawns. Although there seemed to be a lot more prawns around earlier on as well. Most fish were caught in that one hour period before the tide started going out again.:)
