queensland Npd Bass Biting

Left home at 330 this morning to meet up with @rayke1938 and Rik to head off to npd for one last bass session before I move up north. Left Redland bay at 5 and was on the water by 630 and checking shrimp traps. By 8 we had already boated around 20 fish all bass bar one nice yellow belly it went quiet so we moved. Moved up around the bend where we had an awesome session and ended up with 70 bass in total 3 yellowbelly. Biggest bass 49.5cm and there were a few over 40s but most between 30-40cm mark and seemed to fight a lot harder than their size suggested. Ray has photos from the day so I'll wait for him to throw them on here. Great day and was home by 1pm

Another great day with excellent company plus some fish as a bonus.

Must give a mention at what a terrific job that Cameron did cutting down a 30ft plus lilypilly tree that was overhanging the back fence. He is fit as a mallee bull and it was amazing to see how he moved around in the tree.

Was a pleasure helping out with the tree. Had been a while since I'd got up one so it was fun to get around again. 

 

Would reccomend anyone getting in a trip with ray if you're looking to catch fish, learn how to fish the fresh. Couldn't ask for a better bloke.
