Hamish, You'll have to spend 3 months at Karumba and learn

a bit about crocs.

It's no joke I can assure you.

And a lot of dead people can verify.

Alot will follow an outboard because they know that they'll be able

to steal a fish off the line. And when you lean over the side BANG!!

Yep.

They're fair dinkum critters those crocs.

I find I get super spidey sensors when I head north.

Not so much in the boat but wandering the creeks and shorelines etc, even on beaches if the water is murky.

Those bloody things can be anywhere anytime, like RBT's.

I reckon he could have been there a while.

They're pretty cunning and do most of their hunting at night.

You only have to run up the creek at night with a spotlight and

you won't see them in daylight. That's when they used to shoot them

not in daylight hours.

Possibly @Angry51 There is a lot of boat traffic and land traffic in that area. Assuming it comes onto land there should be some evidence like a slide or two. On the other hand, Deanbilla Bay is only a few Kilometres south of Myora. I remember a year or so ago taking part in a clean up day there and wandering through fairly thick mangrove areas where very few people would go and thinking I could be in FNQ, so who knows?

Most slides occur where the tides are in the 4mt rise/fall and above.

You wont get a slide where it's only a mtr to the water.

Think of those tidal rivers/creeks around the top end where its a 5/6mtr fall.

Like in WA they have 12 mtr tides.

But we'll see what the experts say when/if they catch him/her.

It will be interesting to see if the alleged specimen can be found. I would be very interested to know if it's male or a female. I would suspect male.

I would also suspect that they would not be particularly deterred by large populations of people enjoying the water...  It's the simple design that has enabled crocodiles to remain relatively unchanged by evolutionary standards for such a long time.

They are dinosaurs and they are far better at not defecating in their own nest than humans.

Very interested to see how this pans out.

Let’s hope they can capture it and move it ,if it moves down in the Pin area. I’ll be a whole lot harder to find it down there .There are a few sightings of them in the Mary River and even inside Fraser Island at times . Not really surprised that one has eventually ventured into Moreton Bay.

You will be harder to find?  Or it will be harder to find? Lol

I'm going with female.

My wife can drive down the road and forget where she is. Then she doesn't know where she's going and will end up miles from where she's supposed to be.

Reckon this crocs done the same..

Women are great listeners though. 🤣

I call mine Miss Direction. Love you hunny!
