Good call, @Gad.  The Dolphins are looking like a very professional outfit that will rattle a lot of cages this season. Even with their missing halves they looked cool under pressure and very capable. I tipped the Cowboys last night because I thought the more experienced backs would outplay the younger guys, but it turned out to be the opposite. Plus, some of the Cowboy’s forwards need to take a look at their workload and hand back a bit of their pay packet. Great season so far. Hard to pick a top 8.

even though the Bunnies ran away on the score board, the injury hit Doggies turned up for the contest, and had Josh Addo carr  added to their long injury list.

Cowboys 22  vs  32 Dolphins
well, fancy that… the NRL’s, ‘Clint Eastwood’ devised  an 80 minute game plan of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, leaving the Cowboys with only the ‘Duke’-less True Grit found on the bottom of an uncleaned bird cage…
Dolphins won the first half 26 – 12…. Cowboys won the second half 10 – 6
both sides missing players through injury and suspensions.

SATURDAY APRIL 8

 this can happen, when cats are let loose among the pigeons

Broncos 14  vs  20 Raiders
Sooo… the Match Review Committee’s declare a ‘no charge’ for Marty Taupau for the falling Raider’s Jordan Rapana’s head accidentally coming into contact with Taupau’s knee… ref  had ruled Rapana had the lost ball… the bunker ruled  Marty Taupau’s  avoidance attempt was a dangerous/careless contact of Rapana’s head… on report, penalty Raider’s… game, set, match Raiders
… Capewell had scoped up Rapana’s dropped ball, and planted it down about 2 metres from the goal post… if  the ref’s view of the lost ball had played out at that  77^th minute mark the scores would have been locked up at 20 – 20, and going into Golden Point.
 

SUNDAY APRIL 9

Titans 20  vs  18 Dragons
 on the attack positioning for a 2 point field goal attempt, to tie up the match for a GP, extra time . Benny Hunt  dropped a pass… will 2015 never leave him… it’s kind of like ‘beware the ides of March’ for him

I’m still not sure how both these teams are travelling, in terms of this season…

IMO the only reason the Eels got the 2 points is the Tigers are on a seemingly endless losing streak
Tigers may have suffered 2 loses in one, Doueihi left the field with a suspected ACL, if so ACL = 12months out…

Penrith certainly got the best of the referee’s calls. That hair pull penalty was just a joke. Getting tired of so many soft penalties and sin bins. We are in danger of NRL becoming whistle-bound like rugby union.
