ROUND 18  results…

THURSDAY JUNE 29

Sharks 52  vs  16 Dragons

The Dragon’s showed interest for 50 minutes…. then the Sharkies chewed them up…

FRIDAY JUNE 30

Warriors 6  vs  28 Rabbitohs

after losing 4 of their last 5 games the Rabbitoh’s decided to make the Warriors their bunnies

Storm  16  vs 34 Panthers
for 30 minutes the Storm were thundering, with lightning strikes… the Panthers waited for fair weather and ran away on the score board…

SATURDAY JULY 1

Raiders 26  vs  22 Titans
this game was a constant swing in momentum, with a few ‘iffy calls’ added in…eventually the Raiders held in for the win

Cowboys 74   vs  0 Wests Tigers
Tigers had just 37 per cent of the ball, completed a 52 per cent (18 from 34 sets), ran for 1003m — 1381m less than the Cowboys, had less than half the post-contact metres, missed 54 tackles and made 16 errors for the match… = 74 – 0 scoreline

Broncos 24  vs  16 Dolphins
The Bronco’s half time lead of 8 was the final score line’s winning margin, thanks to 2 late tries to Selwyn Cobbo…..

SUNDAY JULY 2

Bulldogs 0  vs  66 Knights
well, what can be said?... the Doggies made the Knights look like a team of Marvel Super  Heroes.

Sea Eagles 18  vs  16 Roosters
for me, this was the game of the round…
both teams wanted the 2 points on offer, and fought for a win.
The lead changed 5 times during the match and Manly eventually prevailed

Bye: Eels

ROUND 19

THURSDAY JULY 6

Wests Tigers  12   vs  36 Sharks

Watching this game, waiting for the Sharks to run away on the scoreboard, was similar to being prepped for root canal treatment… just saying

FRIDAY JULY 7

Dragons vs. Raiders
injuries cruelled the Dragons, but then again, the Raiders tried hard to lose the game

SATURDAY JULY 8

Eels 10  vs   46 Warriors
With the Eels missing a few key players, the Warriors had a spluttering start to this match, but the scoreboard tells us they got it together and ran in the points

Rabbitohs 32  vs  36 Bulldogs
Well…. if the Doggies were going to make a statement in 2023,  key Bunny players missing gave them the opportunity to hold out for the win.

SUNDAY JULY 9

Titans 21  vs  23 Dolphins
Fancy that, was it ever in doubt. LOL

Bye: Broncos, Cowboys, Knights, Panthers, Roosters, Sea Eagles, Storm

State of Orgin NSW V QLD under 19's.

QLD smashed again  32to 14.

Top game.

I saw the second half of that game.  Some big boys and some good skills coming through for both teams. The real SoO game on Wednesday looked like the teams had swapped attitudes for the night. NSW played like they should have and Qld played like NSW in the first two games. Still can’t understand why Cody Walker wasn’t in the team ahead of Luai For the whole series. He is a real footballer while Luai is a show pony. Looking forward to the next series already!
