90,000 Bass fingerlings Kurwongbah

Just to let you know that the PRFMA will be releasing another 90,000 bass fingerlings at Mick Hafling park Torrens Road Petrie into lake Kurwongbah at 9 am Saturday morning. Spectators welcome.

it great to have another dam within 45 mins of home being stocked with so many great fish. cant wait till they get some size to them. a big thanks to all involved in the long and tedious work

Very good turn out. It took about an hour to dustribute the fish, each bucket had roughly 1000 fingerlings in it, the kids did most of the work - about 100 bucket loads. A lot of tired but happy kids at the end of it.

I think it is pretty special, these kids have without a doubt just put more fish into the environment than they will ever take out, even in a life times worth of fishing. Now THAT is looking after the environment!

Welcome to the site Cam.I hope you get as much enjoyment from it as I do.

I reckon it is fantastic seeing the young kids getting involved be great to see a photo of one of them in a few years time with one of the bass that they released today.
