Snapper/tunas spinning braid

Hey guys, us wondering what would be a good offshore spinning snapper/tuna outfit. I've got a raider snapper 4-8kg rod and planning to match it with a daiwa 4000/3500 reel. Is 20lb powerpro over kill? Also how much line is recommended? THanks

ill be using 20 or 23lb on my 6-15lb loomis and 3000 biomaster when i get it

Yep - 20lb sounds good. That's what I have on one of my spools on the 4000

15lb powerpro's very thick so i think it's enough if ur fishing open water. if u need more abrasion resistant, 20lb's the go but u can always just put on more leader as long as ur boat based.

20 lb should be heaps mate, anything more you'll go close to overpowering the rod. if you can fit a 300m spool on the reel (most braid you should do this easy) it should minimise the chances of getting spooled. i use the mojiko stuff from anaconda, reasonable price (when on special) and is thin and good quality as well. no compaints from me!

Thanks for the tips guys. I've already bought the 20lb powerpro a while ago and i reckon it should fit onto a 4000 td advantage. I also have about 250m of leftover 15lb spiderwire so may put that on the other spool too. Can't wait for the upcoming charter
