hello everyone, im paul i live in thornlands. new to australia and like to do fishing. Anyone got any advice where some good places are around here to go fishing? Land based because my mates tinny which i go out on with him is still getting fixed.

Hey mate.

Around thornlands I know there are a few people that have done well in both the fresh and saltwater reaches of Tingalpa creek. Hopefully a more local bloke will be bale to give a bit more accurate info regarding that.

Aside from that its on a short drive to a few of the bayside locations.

Many Harbour is a great training ground for soft plastic fisherman, and as recent posts suggest good for squid as well. There are also GT's and longtom in the harbour but hold on if you hook one of those.

Wellington Point is not bad either. I have had mixed results there really, but its a comfortable place to fish.

manly boat harbour can turn up some surprising results land based and is just down the road. good luck!
