cold v wet

could anyone tell me if this cold weather would shut the freshwater down or the bit of rain more likely to bring it on? i'm thinking of walking the banks near twin bridges tomorrow.

Mate the dams at my place fire up in the rain but shut down in the cold. So middle of the rainy day is good.

i have found that yellowbelly come on the bite in the rain...and me,ash and angus have got yellas while its been frosty as hell.bass mite be another story thou:unsure:

mmm Big W is supposed to be a fantastic Bass fishery in the cool months, so I don't see why the would shut down in the river. That said if it is supposed to be warm and it suddenly cools down like it has...

I have caught no where near enough bass to say:silly:

thanks guys i guess i'll go out and give it a go, at least i shouldn't have to worry about crowds of swimmers in this weather. report this evening.

when i ust to bait fish at my local creek all i would get usually were catfish and it started raining and i started getting decent 27, 28cm bream...wtf...i think feral may be on to something...and yesterday it was both cold and wet and i caught a cattie and bream on lures...so ye...probably not very helpfull but just putting it out there...lol

yeah i've had the same sort of experience in the salt but no alot of experience in the fresh so every bit of additional info helps
