favourite Loop knot.

Being a new convert to the world of braid and lures, I had to learn a few new knots.

Ferg has been my teacher here, being an old barra fisherman from way back (yeah he grew up in townsville on the banks of a local creek and has caught more barra than I could poke a stick at).

One knot he uses, I have never seen another fisherman use, although it is a common knot. I was initially worried about it slipping, but after seeing him land a 1m plus barra on it at Awoonga, I was convinced. The knot is a simple bowline, and used to attach anything to a line that needs a loop.

It is also really easy to tie for us gentleman of more mature years, who cant see fine line all that well! Anyone else use it?
