queensland Hinze Dam 9 August

We hit Hinze around 1pm and the wind was blowing straight up the lake pretty fierce.

In 3 hours of lure chucking we got tired and bored. Then as the sun started to set, Nickers had a tap on her spinnerbait with no hook up.

My sounder wasn't working(forgot to charge battery) so we moved around til we found some fish. Saw a toga frolicking on the surface, but wasn't interested in anything we had to offer.

We anchored up in a spot that has produced for me in the past and in desperation floated out some unweighted earthworms. Nickers was first to hook up, almost immediately.

Cracker bass there and great report. Picture tells a 1000 words! Not a breath of wind by the last picture I see.

Thanks for sharing, Hinze is a lovely place to fish. that's the first time I've seen Bass on earthworms down there too. good thinking.

Nice bass Nickers How did the charter go?

Rocket- its gonna cop a floggin til the weather warms up enuf for nickers to use her kayak again.

T/box- charter was canned due to weather. Gonna reschedule next week or week after.
