My initial plans were to just have a nice leisurely drive out to renew the sailing club membership, but seeing as it was such a good looking day I decided to take the extra effort and take the canoes for a short trip aswell. After all the forms were filled we hit the water at around 11:30, and were off by 3:30pm.

We didn't manage to catch anything in the first or last hour, but managed 9 bass inbetween when the wind picked up slightly. There were quite a few lost fish aswell, with 5 fish lost after the initial run - which hasn't happened very often in past years. I think it might be time to change the trebles on the Blitz Bagas. Most of the fish were either rats or around the 50cm mark.

Here are a couple of the fatter ones

thanks for the kind offer mate :) . I was actually thinking of heading there at the end of the year once we have moved to ipswich and am closer to the dam. Dont think my parents would drive me that far. I should have a yak by then and will be about 25mins away so i think i might have to wait a little bit longer.

We should go for a fish down that way sometime, once ive moved and got my kayak?

thanks again

Dan
