I`m throwing this up here for people up the Sunny Coast way and other areas who may want to attend or enquire further about this meeting.

Like Fishing ? - You have a big problem

Like Fishing ?

Like Aussie Fresh Fish ?

Like Australian Prawns ?

Do you value our recreational lifestyles ?

The whole community may be impacted; this is not solely a fishing issue.

Queenslanders have a right to access and eat OUR OWN healthy Seafood, not be stuck with imported product.

Lifestyle: Our way of life is under threat if large closures are implemented and later expanded.

We will do it right: let the local communities who have a vested interest drive the planning process!

This issue is not about the environment or sustainability: if it was - the minister would surely answer why the area needs protecting.

Our fisheries areas are well regulated and most already accredited as sustainable as we have sensible Bag Limits & Management Plans currently in place and working well.

Please attend our public protest forum at the

Gympie Showground Pavilion at 6pm on the 10th July.

Join Senators Brett Mason, Ian McDonald and Ron Boswell

together with many other dignatories also expected.

Don Jones, CEO Marine Queensland.

... so please come along to support the future access

to our coastal waterways.

I highlighted a bit of the above spiel.

We've heard that before and how true it is.

The clever little martians are attacking small sections at a time. Why ?...Well a lot of little spread out voices aren't well heard; The smaller areas don't combine well to be heard as one big voice. Generally someone in one area doesn't care too much about the next area they don't fish in, only their own...and so it goes on.

With Green preferences no doubt being well sort after at the next elections they will be wielding a lot of power to our detriment I think.
