ID please

hi, i was fishing the river mouth at point cartwright on the weekend and i got two fish that i do not know what they are here are the the photos

this one was about 10cm long

i think this one is a trumpeter or a striped seaperch but not sure witch

it was about 10cm long also

Thanks for your time identifying the fish but i have had a look on the web at the range of the Striped Trumpeter and it said the do not live up here i was thinking it might be a Trumpeter not a Striped Trumpeter here is the URL

Ahh wait, sorry don't know what I was thinking before. Eastern Trumpeter is the proper name, but they just seem to get called Striped Trumpeter around here. The true Striped is found around Tasmania and get far, far larger than these little guys (max out around 25cm).

Latin name is Pelates se/xlineatus (bit of an interesting one really :D ) - Filter won't let it through; get rid of the "/" between "se" and "x"

And the Silver Sweep is Scorpus lineolatus
