had a short session with Angus this morning, bashing about Nudgee and Shultz. Didnt land anything, got busted off by a big cod (Again :S), but yea, had a great time!! great fishing with ya Angus, i'd love to do it again :D :D :D. hehe. great that the new lures worked out excellent eh :D.. hehe. lost 2 good lures today, but yea, that's fishing. win some lose some.

Sometime back I did mention that I'd be bringing over some new smashing lures for you guys to try so yea, today and my other fishing trip with Jordan was basically a field test, needless to say, the lures worked great! today alone we had 4 er.. 5 species on em, not to mention nearly... nearly a ray :D .. hehe. eh Angus ;).

There'll be a whole range, 5cm to 12cm available from the AFO shop in the future, so stay tuned! Bass and bream fishermen out there, stay tuned!

I'll let the pictures do the talking. We only got small fish today, as it was more of a product testing session, but yea, we got numerous small hits. Angus lost a good fish at Nudgee and Shultz, and got blitzed by a cod too :P. more pictures to come in the future ;P [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/bream1mod.JPG

that cheeky little bugger probably just finished a snack when Angus's nice little lure came darting by and caught his attention. Seems like it was too irresistable to him too!!   [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/codandlure2.JPG

Ellicat thats exactly what i said!!

All up an awesome day. Only migit fish caught but oh well. Ill be back for the bigger ones.

The lures do have an awesome action through the water with the Yo Zuri SF50's being my favourite lure of the day. These managed to catch Moses Perch, Bream, Cod, Flathead and a Toad fish :P

I also lost one to something much bigger. Right next to a snag so im assuming Cod.

Ok i have a theory on what this might be.

Based on 2 factors. Appearance, and liklyhood of being jagged.

I think its a juvenile salt water eel tail catty.

Why? Well by its appearance its possible. But also they move around in densly packed schools that when seen from overhead actually looks like a cruising ray.

Im not sure how they breed, however if they fry are packed together in a similar way, it would be more likely for a little guy like that to end up on a hook? Also they are certainly in the area that thing was hooked.

Anyway just my best go at an educated guess.

I'll be interested to see what everyone's opinion is.

Angus, They build nests and lay eggs. I'm pretty sure the fry are the same colour as adults when they hatch (maybe a bit lighter).
