Hey guys,

my mates have organised a fishing trip this sunday on the maroochy river for my birthday (28 getting old now:P ) They have booked a 14 person bbq pontoon boat for the day so it should be agreat day. I bought some sp's and i decided to get myself a sx40 since i've done a fair bit of practice in the past couple of months, got the gold looking one so hope it does the trick.

Anyway if anyone has fished up there in the past could i get any tips on where to go? only fished up there once before. I always hear about the cod hole but dont know where it is.

If you're heading upriver from Chambers Island it is on the left hand side of the river from just before the bridge then under the bridge then out the other side of the bridge. Total length of the deeper section is roughly 400m with the \"hole\" itself being roughly in the middle of that.
