With all the rain and wind of the last few weeks I was keen to give anything a go.

Living at Milton, I just decided to walk across Coro Drive at 430pm, hoping that no one in their cars would notice me, with my rod and bag, about to fish the river. Anyway, only there for 40 minutes, and I think I caught my first threadie, although only small. Both the fish and me were happy, as he was released to grow into a monster, and I was over the moon that I hadn't wasted my time.

Nice little Threadfin, caught one myself last Sunday, which made a nice change from Cat fIsh!

I was simply using prawns for bait. Can you tell me what you were using?

I was simply using just a 2" Banana Prawn Soft Plastic.

Great fun on 4 pound braid and 8 pound leader.
