Braid and Baitcasters

I am looking at a new baitcaster reel, Abu Revo SX, mainly for Bass and light Barra work, but mainly fresh water impoundment use. What are your braid preferences for baitcasters guys? I have been using Fins and Fireline for my other BC's but would just like to know if there is a braid more suited for baicasters.

Power pro is awesome, picked up a mint condition zillion today loaded with 16lb castaway used to really like it till i used powerpro.

I like Fins PRT on baitcasters.

I was in BCF yesterday looking at braid for a little curado 51E. I was tempted to buy the powerpro. I liked the look and feel of it, but I bought the PRT which is on special at the moment. The powerpro looked slightly thinner than the fins for the same stated B/S.

Might try it next time.

Also find most braids a bit of pain in the arse to "break or wear in" on BC's more birdnesting during this period

Thats basically why I asked if there is one more suited.

Power Pro for sure i have it on all of my baitcasters easily the best braid that ive used.

yer mate i use Power Pro 20lbs on my pfluger barra outfit. works good as. i find that even the 5-10kg barra rod and the 20lbs braid are also perfect for fishing spinnerbaits in the timber.

but yer i wouldent use fireline on my baitcaster.

I have 30lb Bionic Braid on my Daiwa TDA and it cast really well and smooth. Needed only one session to 'run-in' the braid and the only complaint is the pink dye wearing off pretty quickly. Other than that, it's a great braid that I would recommend to others. Another brand to consider for baitcaster is Nitlon.

Found a very good deal on a new Curado 300E on fleabay this morning, so probably gonna go with that and match it with 30LB power pro.

im currently using sunline castaway in 30lb on my calcutta 250dc nd love it

After talking to the guys at tackle warehouse today I ended up getting Tuffline 30LB and also walked out with a T curve revo Barra BC rod and a bag full of lures :whistle:
