Cast nets

Just a bit of info on cast nets.

The drop of a net has no correlation to the spread. Bob the netbuilder at redland bay advertises that he can build you a net with a 26ft spread and a legal 10ft drop.

It is accomplished by the fullness of the skirt.

All you need is the strength and skill to throw it.

Apparently some of the skilled netbuilders can make a legal net with a 30ft spread.

I ahve a copy of Bobs dvd on how to throw a cast net. It demonstrates about 5 different methods.
