AFO Social Group - Confirmed

Hey guys,

Well I have helped kick start the requested social group

No I just plan to fish and socialise

The first one has been organised to pick up were the Bream socials left. After that there is everything from offshore, freshwater and estuary.

This was a really popualr comcept that came out of those surveys to compliment the more official events so now i guess its time for those that requested it to put there actions where their suggestions are

Id love to see the Dhess's and Tuggers inshore taking a deckie spot on a lure only bream boat

Bream we can catch all year around. Rest of it looks good.

Mate I have handed the reigns over for this you will have to speak to the people organsing.

Just to point out though, there is not a social this month as there is no time.

The first one (Bream @ Redcliffe) is next month and was chosen specifically to pick up were the Bream socials left off but then to expand int something "more".

As for the toga social, please dont (and this obviously is directed more boradly than just Tomca) feel that due to these you should not organise other socials.

As previously mentioned we have spent a lot of time, effort and actual dollars trying to make this site a medium in which lots of "sub groups" can organise their affairs either openly to encourage new members or privately for small tight knit groups.

If you need a Deckie Ted I'm up for it, have done bugger all off shore stuff but love it never the less, sick if pissant bream n bass, gimme some reefies!!!! Plus what ever I catch is yours as I dont eat fish

If you want to nominate different events and different species joing the group and do so in there.

Bare in mind...

Its a tough gig.

There will always be 50 options with 200 opinions. Hence a calendar has been set and will be run (as far as I know) as it stands.

This doesnt prevent people doing whatever they want whenever they want on the side using AFO as their medium to do so

I think these little comps should be something achieable in a day trip though.

Dhess's idea of a 1770 group trip and this Toga social idea should remain seperate in my opinion as they are dramatically less achievable for many people.

I got a bit carried away with the whole concept, but the last weekend in May is the Wifes B'day and I have junior football on Sundays now. So I am still keen to orginize this trip but it will need to be the Saturday before the 19th.

So if that's cool all good or someone else will need to take rthe reins for this one.
