Hey everyone,

Have seen heaps of people buying these reels and did my research, mainly on the 2500, to find that they look like a pretty good reel for the money. Does anyone have any experience with these reels?

Hey mate... I have a 1000 one, they only seem to sell that size in the usa. U can get 1000 or 2500 from the usa including post for around $90. For that sort of money what u get is fantastic. The second ally spool is great too. I think also with the 2500 and up u get 2 different spools that hold different amounts. With the 1000 you get two exactly the same spools. Also the spools are tapered. If I didn't already have a daiwa regal 5000 or a shimano saros 3000 id get a 4000 of this reel. Cant justify the extra reel atm.

I put that stren micro fuse 4lb on it for now, got that from uk ebay for like $5. Its ok line, it defiantly has to be worn in a bit though. Once again for that price you cant beat it..

yeah i also just got the 1000 sized aird. i unceremoniously lost my shimano ultegra 1000 rig in ewen maddock dam. the aird is a great little reel which hopefully lasts as well as my shimano, which until it fell overboard, i couldn't find a reason to replace.

even the stradic fj's are only 160ish if bought o/s.

Any one got any feedback on these reels, looking at the 2000 size for small plastics.

awesome reel for the money and real four too so the rcs stuff fits too

I have the 2500 & 4000, both great reels, cant fault them for the price.

i had a 4000 one, before it got stolen!!!!!!

It was a really good reel, smooth drag, good looking. Loving it.

But now i prefer shimano....

But Aird is really good.

Agreed with shimano, but they do this reel in a 2000 size, which shimano don't.

My mate Nick (smith_afl15) did eventually bought this reel. He is stoaked with it, and when we went up to Hervey Bay, that's the reel that did all the damage. I personally think its a great reel and wouldn't mind getting one myself
