Lockhart River is the jewel in the crown of Cape York Peninsula and in the northern most town on the east coast of Australia – remote and wild! We will be commencing with two 4 night trips offering an opportunity to tackle everything from barra, jacks, threaddies and queenies to GT’s, spanish macks, dog tooth tuna, coral trout and red emperor!

The untamed myriad of river systems and adjacent untouched waters of the Great Barrier Reef offer some of the most exciting fishing opportunities in the world.

There is not a "cut off" so to speak. However seats are strictly limited so the longer you wait the more chance you miss out I guess you would say. Seats are secured upon a 30% deposit.

I personally can't wait for this one!

This year when they went chasing Red emps they had to stop after 1 hour due to bagging out on XOS specimens. Dont worry, there were plenty of trout and GT's to chase instead

At least with Lockhart weather wont be as much of a killer as we have the whole Lockhart system to explore!

The tail end of the monsoon season should see good run off for the rivers and hopefully the barra snapping but this also means the tail end of the cyclone season and qld history has had some big ones around that time of year fingers crossed there arent any hanging around then

No Reel Chase is the mother ship for this.

The other boat is Saltaire (a popping jigging specialist used by Nomad).

Brett has also had two barra boats made for the rivers and close reef.

With only 8 going this should provide a lot of options each day.
