Growing up we had combustion stoves that doubled as the heater for the house, loved it!

Yea I put this stove in a few weeks ago and it powers out the heat.

Which reminds me, if anyone has any old trees standing or laying which are suitable for firewood and want them gone then give me a yell.

i didnt think it was cold enough to need a fire !!! but try a local saw mill some times they give it away

Try the Gumtree website mate, there is normally some available for free. Stew looks yum, going to have to grab a lamb myself next time. Enjoy.

How do you regulate the heat booty so as to not burn it

The pot I was using had legs so it did not sit flat on top and provided enough good constant low heat. A think a pot sitting flat on like my two smaller ovens would, would make it too hot requiring a trivet between them and stove top. I got some offcuts of the exterior fence when I was in gaol in NSW and they make great spacers.
